When do you realize you’ve made it? Well, according Baus Rufo and Macoy Dubs (who now have a podcast together!), it’s all about performing at one culturally-relevant mall in Taguig: Market! Market!

We don’t know what it is about Market! Market!, but there must be some magic in that corner of BGC. Just look at this impressive list of artists who have graced its stage:

KATSEYE

September 18, 2024 – The world-renowned girl group, KATSEYE, performed in Market! Market!, where Filipino EYECONS got to witness the group’s electrifying performance firsthand. The event, “KATSEYE: Touchdown in Manila Official Fan Showcase,” was organized by UMG Philippines.

Since then, KATSEYE’s career has skyrocketed, with hit releases such as “Touch”, “Gnarly”, “Gabriela”, and more. The 6-member girl group continues to rise in the music scene, drawing in fans worldwide.

The 1975

March 28, 2014 – The 1975, an English pop-rock band, found themselves serenading Filipino fans in Market! Market! as part of their mini tour around Metro Manila. The 1975 performed at various Ayala Mall venues, one of which was the iconic BGC mall.

Today, The 1975 has around 18 million monthly listeners on Spotify with hit albums “Being Funny In a Foreign Language”, “A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships”, and “The 1975”.

LANY

August 6, 2017 – In 2017, LANY performed at 5 Ayala Mall locations in Metro Manila, including Market! Market! LANY is known for their frequent visits to the Philippines, as the group is well-received by many Filipinos.

The American pop rock band is known for their hit songs “ILYSB”, “13”, “Super Far”, “Through These Tears”, and many more! Today, LANY has over 11 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

Jung Hae In

December 20, 2024 –. Market! Market! is not exclusive to your usual concert-format events. Jung Hae In, a well-loved South Korean actor, had his own fair share of the Market! Market! experience. Prior to his fan meet, “Our Time”, Jung Hae In held a press conference in Market! Market! During this press conference, he got to say a few words of gratitude to his Filipino supporters.

The actor starred in popular Korean Dramas such as “Love Next Door”, “Snow Drop”, and “Something in the Rain”.

UNIS

May 6, 2024 – The rising South Korean girl group, UNIS, etched their name into Market! Market! history as another K-pop girl group to perform in its grounds. In May of 2024, UNIS had a three-day U&iS Fansign Philippine Tour where fans got to engage and interact with the group, marking their first of many visits to the Philippines.

Phum Viphurit

April 23, 2023 – Hailing from Thailand, Phum Viphurit returned to the Philippines to perform at different Ayala Mall venues, one of which was Market! Market! Known for his hit song “Lover Boy”, Phum performed 5 shows in 3 days, delivering a stellar live show performance for his Filipino fans.

BINI

April 14, 2024 – Of course, how could we forget our very own BINI? The 8-woman Filipino girl group performed a mall show in Market! Market! in celebration of their new EP release, Talaarawan. Attendees got to indulge in performances and gimmicks prepared by BINI. Since then, BINI has experienced a rise in success locally and internationally. BINI is set to perform at Coachella in 2026, a historic achievement as they are the first Filipino group to do so.

And of course, many of our local artists have played for the mallgoers of Market! Market! This long list includes Lola Amour, OverOctober, Adie, Juan Karlos, and so on, and so forth!
