PSA, Pop Mart Fans: A Skullpanda Showcase Will Open in Singapore Real Soon

Dec 5, 2025   •   Meryl Medel

Get ready, Skullpanda lovers! Pop Mart is collaborating with the National Museum of Singapore and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to bring the all-new SKULLPANDA CAGE-UNCAGE Showcase to Singapore. This isn’t just a showcase; it’s an immersive experience for fans across the region to dive deep into the meaning and artistry behind the popular SKULLPANDA collectible. Here’s everything you should know about the upcoming showcase.

What is the showcase?

Following its successful debut in Shanghai, China, this showcase is making its international debut in Singapore.

The SKULLPANDA CAGE-UNCAGE Showcase, the first-ever SKULLPANDA showcase in Singapore, brings Pop Mart, STB, and the National Museum together in a first-of-its-kind partnership. Through contemporary museum programming, this collaboration explores the artistic craft and meaningful narratives inherent in collectible design and culture, while enhancing Singapore’s appeal as a destination for exciting offerings that resonate with local and international audiences.

The exhibit centers on the character SKULLPANDA, who was created by Chinese artist Xiong Miao (founder of North Studio art workshop). SKULLPANDA was originally conceived as a character representing the artist’s own way of embracing life’s uncertainties and big questions.

The showcase uses a multi-sensory and immersive approach, drawing on Xiong Miao’s background in game concept design, to elevate collectibles into a powerful form of art and storytelling. It encourages you to think about choices and dilemmas through six major themes that are part of everyday life: Emotion, Fortune, Rules, Exploration, Life, and Direction.

What to expect

Showcase ticketholders can look forward to an immersive experience that includes:

  • Massive art installations, which let you see the popular collectible beyond a keychain and in the form of larger-than-life sculptures and installations.
  • Interactive opportunities and immersive environments, where everyday things like door frames, locks, and keys are turned into a visual language that makes you reflect on ideas like freedom, confinement, choice, and self-discovery.
  • A Singapore-exclusive feature, which is an installation inspired by the traditional bird singing pastime in the city. This special section introduces international visitors to a beloved local hobby and heritage, similar to how collectible culture brings people together.
  • Showcase-exclusive merchandise, which will only be available for purchase to the ticketholders.
  • A Singapore-exclusive SKULLPANDA CAGE-UNCAGE Showcase gift, which is available only for the first 4,500 visitors of the showcase.

Is there any area that is free to access?

A special pop-up store at the museum’s Longer Concourse will be open to everyone (even if you don’t have a ticket to the showcase). There will also be free-to-access art installations in the museum’s Front Lawn and Level 1 spaces.

When is the showcase?

The SKULLPANDA CAGE-UNCAGE Showcase will open to the public from 12 December 2025 to 22 February 2026.

Showcase-exclusive merchandise will only be available for purchase to the SKULLPANDA CAGE-UNCAGE Showcase ticket holders who have completed their visit to the showcase, with each exclusive item limited to one piece per ticket holder, while stocks last.

How to get tickets

Tickets are now available for the showcase, with the following prices:

  • Tourist — SGD 36 or about PHP 1,640
  • Tourist Concession (i.e. seniors aged 60 and above, persons with disabilities, non-citizen and non-permanent resident students from private or overseas schools) — SGD 28 or about PHP 1,275
  • Local (i.e. Singapore resident) — SGD 14 or about PHP 640

Children under 6 years old can enter for free.

Admission is by timed entry to make sure everyone has a comfortable visit, so it’s best to book early.

You can book your tickets on the National Museum’s website.
