Connect 3 is once again, er, connecting in the big ‘ol 2026! Disney just announced that Camp Rock 3 will be premiering this August on Disney+ and Disney Channel. For the generation who grew up watching and replaying Mitchie Torres, Shane Gray, and the rest of the cast belt out banger after banger on Camp Rock, the nostalgia is about to hit us like a truck in a few months. Here’s everything we know so far about Camp Rock 3.
18 years after the original Camp Rock hit Disney Channel and 16 years after the second film, the franchise is returning for a legacy sequel. The film was officially announced in September 2025, with the Jonas Brothers and Maria Canals-Barrera (Connie Torres) confirmed to be reprising their roles. Principal photography took place in Vancouver, Canada, wrapping in November 2025 after just seven weeks of filming.
The story picks up when Connect 3 loses their opening act for a major reunion tour, sending them back to their beloved Camp Rock to discover the next big thing. As campers vie for the chance to open for their favorite band, tensions rise, and friendships are tested, leading to unexpected alliances, revelations, and romances.
Notably, the film is set at least 15 years after the second, while the first two films were set only a year apart, so this is very much a nostalgia-meets-new-generation situation.
Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas return as Shane, Nate, and Jason Gray respectively, with Maria Canals-Barrera back as Connie Torres.
The new generation of campers is where things get interesting: they include bold and determined Sage (Liamani Segura) and her easygoing brother Desi (Hudson Stone); camp bad boy Fletch (Malachi Barton); cello prodigy Rosie (Lumi Pollack); drummer with his own beat Cliff (Casey Trotter); choreo queen Callie (Brooklynn Pitts); and intimidating influencer Madison (Ava Jean).
Where is Mitchie, you ask? As for Demi Lovato, this is the only Camp Rock film that does not star her as Mitchie Torres, but she returns as an executive producer.
That said, don’t rule out a cameo just yet. Director Veronica Rodriguez told Entertainment Weekly, “You can’t really talk about Camp Rock or have a Camp Rock movie without referencing her. We love Mitchie.”
Camp Rock (2008) and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010) are among the Top 10 Disney Channel Original Movies of all time, each landing the No. 1 spot on cable movie premiere charts in their respective years. The franchise didn’t just dominate ratings — it launched careers and planted itself permanently in the pop culture memory of an entire generation.
Camp Rock 3 arrives on Disney+ and Disney Channel this August.
