As they enter the OPM scene, the new girl group MEI MEI says “hello po” with their debut single, “Telebong (Hello Po)”, a fresh, upbeat novelty-pop track that would certainly make listeners sing and dance. Here’s what we know so far about MEI MEI:
On top of the infectious novelty-pop single “Telebong (Hello Po),” MEI MEl is also preparing for the release of their debut EP album titled “HELLO PO!,” which will further introduce MEI MEI’s playful personality, vibrant sound, and proudly Pinoy spirit to audiences everywhere.

While “mei mei” in Chinese culture is an affectionate term meaning “little sister,” the group’s name also draws inspiration from the familiar Filipino tradition of repeating names like “Jan-Jan,” “Len-Len,” and “Mai-Mai” as expressions of closeness and affection. “Mei” or “May” is likewise a commonly heard Filipino name, making the group instantly warm, memorable, and culturally resonant.

Describing themselves as the “alter ego of every Filipina,” MEI MEI hopes to create music that feels joyful, relatable, empowering, and comforting music that brings people together through shared memories, laughter, and happiness.
