The newest breed of kiddie performers are set to wow everyone with their cute transformations and show-stopping performances as “Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids” returns for another season. 8 child stars will once again take the center stage and showcase their unique talents while dressed as big local and international musical icons.
But before the show starts tonight, let us get ourselves more familiar with these cute kiddie performers:
Starting as competitors in “Tawag ng Tanghalan Kids,” the impressive vocal trio of Francis Concepcion, Mackie Empuerto, and Keifer Sanchez first made waves online with their rendition of the Beyonce-classic “Listen.” Now, they have performed on international stages, including in the UK and US versions of “Little Big Shots,” even getting the attention of world-renowned host Ellen Degeneres.
Marco Masa has already played numerous roles in TV but mainly rose to fame via the hit primetime series “Nathaniel,” where he played the young angel Nathaniel, whose mission was to instill values in the hearts of many. Indeed, he captivated viewers not only with his adorable looks, but also with his incredible acting talent that instantly touched everyone’s hearts.
A “Goin’ Bulilit” mainstay, Chun Sa was first introduced in “It’s Showtime’s” segment “Mini Me,” where she impersonated Maja Salvador. Like her idol, she can rock it on the dance floor and definitely has a knack for acting, having appeared in some Kapamilya TV series and hit movies.
We all know Onyok from “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” – the small yet tough kid who is ready to fight side by side with his Kuya Cardo (Coco Martin). Popular for his catchphrase “Hay naku,” Onyok easily won the hearts of viewers and even moviegoers as he also starred in one of the highest-grossing Filipino films, “The Super Parental Guardians.”
Also a “Mini Me” contestant, Esang De Torres was notably known for her crystal clear vocals in “The Voice Kids” under the team of the Broadway diva Lea Salonga. Her world-class talent was further recognized when she joined internationally popular musicals such as “Les Miserables” and “Matilda the Musical.”
Another singing pro, Sheena Belarmino was a finalist in “Tawag ng Tanghalan Kids” and was praised for her high belting range and immense vocal chops. But this Cebuana lass also has some swag as she also joined the reality dance contest “Dance Kids.”
At a young age, Krystal Brimner already knows that she belongs in the performing arts and the acting world. She played the lead role in the local adaptation of the musical “Annie,” and even won the Best Child Performer award at the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival for “Honor Thy Father.” She is also currently a Star Music artist, proving her mettle in recording.
Also a “The Voice Kids” contestant, Noel Comia Jr. definitely is a kid of talent, being a multi-instrumentalist and having played lead roles in various theatrical productions. But adding to his already impressive resume are his numerous awards, namely three Aliw Awards and the Best Actor award in Cinemalaya for “Kiko Boksingero.”
