If you’re looking to pick up a sport soon, everyone can tell you badminton is a great one. It isn’t too strenuous and it offers you a multitude of health benefits: tones your body, aids weight loss, decreases stress, improves heart function, and more. Not to mention it’s a great game to play with your barkada where you can have friendly matches to your heart’s content. Here are a few great badminton courts in Metro Manila.

Looking for a badminton court in Quezon City? Chut’s Badminton Center is located in Brgy. Veterans Village, near LRT-1 Roosevelt station. They’ve got a Play All You Can promo at P130/person from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 1 PM. Regular play is at P320/hour from 8 AM to 4 PM and does not require court reservation. But if you’re planning on playing from 4 PM to 10 PM, you will be charged P400/hour and you have to reserve a court in advance.

You can rent a court at Katipunan Prime Badminton Center at P350/hour for a maximum of eight players. Send them a message on Facebook to reserve and secure your slot and do it quickly because these courts get fully booked. Katipunan Prime Badminton Center also has an ongoing Play All You Can” promo. Players pay P150/head and can hit the court from 8 AM to 12 NN or from 1 PM to 5 PM. This is applicable on weekdays and is only for court sharing.

Looking to play a quick game that won’t hurt your wallet? This badminton court near The Circuit Makati allows players to play for 2 hours at only P100/head. You can grab your friends to complete the minimum of 8 people per court but if you’re flying solo and willing to share courts, it’s a pretty sweet deal. But if you’ve got friends, you can reach out to Shuttle Master Badminton Center to book a court. Those playing from 5 PM to 10 PM will have to pay P300/hour/court and an additional entrance fee of P35/player.

After a stressful day at the office, head over to Dominance Badminton Center two streets away from Makati Cinema Square. The spacious court is as lively as ever with dozens of players at any given time. To play with your friends, there’s a P70/head entrance fee and a charge of P400/hour court fee. Hungry after a competitive game? You don’t have to go far, Dominance Badminton Center has an in-house restaurant with a menu that includes freshly baked pizzas, empanadas, refreshing drinks, and coffee. You could even go for their barkada bundles to save cash.

Powersmash Badminton Center might not have much of an online presence but its courts are alive and in full swing. You can join games, get coached, or even be a spectator at matches. For example, there’s Coach Elmo’s Badminton Queueing held every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday from 5 PM onwards. There’s also a chance to play with the Tiger Smashers, a group of badminton players and enthusiasts playing at Powersmash every Friday from 6 PM to 12 MN. Who knew badminton was such a great social sport?

Perhaps one of the best courts in Makati and loved by many sports enthusiasts is The Zone Sports Center. The local sports complex offers badminton, basketball, and their recently added sport, pickleball. Badminton players can choose between the Taraflex Court (P300/hour) or the Wood Court (P250/hour) with an additional P75 entrance fee per player. Make sure to contact them for court reservations!

Play a few sets with your barkada at Powerplay Badminton in Quezon City. It has lots of courts to choose from plus shower areas for that post-play refresher. And speaking of a refresher, you can also order food from their in-house store selling snacks. Players can rent a court for p300/hour. On weekends, you can avail of the P150/person play all you can promo.

Another popular court in the badminton community is Power Up Badminton Center in Mother Ignacia, Diliman Quezon City. You and your friends can book a court for P350/hour. Although bookings could get full but don’t worry, if you’re game with sharing courts or joining queues, you can look for fellow badminton players online and still enjoy a game. Oh, and did we mention this is the badminton court the Piolo Pascual frequents?
