8. A. Coffee Matimyas Open Mic Mondays

Want to perform in a quieter setting where you can do stand-up and not worry too much about people imbibing alcohol? Well, this venue is the one for you! On most Monday nights, just drop by at A. Coffee Matimyas, and enjoy the chill vibes and free-flowing humor.

7. Jess & Pat’s Open Mic

WHERE: Jess & Pat’s, Maginhawa, Quezon City
WHEN: Non-regular, but next one is this August 16 (Sunday), let’s make it a regular thing by supporting!
PERFORMERS WELCOMED: Comedians, musicians, poets, spoken word, magicians, everything!

Jess & Pat’s is one of those who know that the word “open mic” needs to be as open as possible, and thus invites all sorts of comics to hit the stage and sign up at 5 PM! They do this a bunch, but the schedule hasn’t been fixed. Still, it’s always worth asking them when their next one is!

6. After Sunset by Athena Studios

WHERE: Athena Studios, Parañaque
WHEN: Non-regular, but August 16 Sunday is their next one.
PERFORMERS WELCOMED: Musicians

Athena Studios wants to invite musicians to not just share their music with a very eager audience, but perhaps even audition, as you will be in very good company! It’s a growing community of musicians who support each other and who give OPM that much-needed push forward in 2026.

5. Maddie’s Open Mics

WHERE: Maddie’s Bar, Pioneer Highlands, Mandaluyong
WHEN: Mondays and Thursdays, but not regularly.
PERFORMERS WELCOMED: Stand-up comics on Mondays, acoustic artists on Thursdays.

Because we want to highlight all sorts of groups, here’s an interesting room where, depending on the day, a different type of performer does an open mic! We’re well aware that there are multiple comedy groups plying their trade right now, so here we are, trying to represent as many of them as possible!

4. Bahay Tawanan Open Mic

WHERE: Chapterhouse, Madasalin Street, Quezon City
WHEN: Every other Thursday
PERFORMERS WELCOMED: Standup comics

A rotating who’s who for standup comedy, Bahay Tawanan’s open mic nights are pretty fun, fast-paced, and the perfect chance for people who have 2-3 minutes of material to really make the most of their stage time.

3. Open Siomaic at Mow’s

WHERE: Mow’s, Matalino Street, Quezon City
WHEN: Every Wednesday
PERFORMERS WELCOMED: Standup comics

Yes, a lot of open mic nights are for standup comics (and we haven’t even mentioned all of them yet), but there’s good reason for that: writing material and getting stage time is really, really hard! Mow’s is probably the oldest existing open mic in this list, and with good reason.

2. Mugen Bar Open Mic Nights

WHERE: Mugen Bar, Malingap Street, Quezon City
WHEN: Monthly, on a Friday
PERFORMERS WELCOMED: All types, but predominantly singers.

What is it with the Maginhawa area and all these open mics? We’re not complaining, though. Once a month, Mugen Bar holds karaoke nights that double as open mic nights for other types of performers. It’s a pretty fun experience, being one of the few comics or magicians in a room full of singers, but it’s well worth it!
