Birthday? Anniversary? Or just a random happy occasion? There must be cake. A celebration isn’t complete with a cake. And while classic cakes definitely won’t go out of style, sometimes, there’s an added factor of giddiness when you get a really, reaaallyyyyy pretty cake that it looks like an artwork fit for the museum already. We just hope you don’t ever regret eating them. But then again, it’s cake. Just take all the snaps for the ‘gram for posterity and dig in.
These pretty domes may look like snow globes, but they are definitely not. Jamie’s Artisan Blooms are composed of a cheesecake base at the bottom, with a ‘flower’ blooming on top of it within a dome made of jello. It’s just the right combination of the cream cheese’s tangy flavor and gelatin’s sweetness. We’d want to display these on our tables forever, too, but we’d settle for an IG post. You can order here.
Here are some cakes that aren’t just pretty on the outside, because they’re just as gorgeous inside. The Sweet Life by Ange is known for their signature ombre swirls that are perfectly styled on layers and layers of cakes. In this Unicorn Garden Cake, the signature ombre swirls wrap around colorful layers of cake inside, which is then topped with chocolate-dipped strawberries and freshly picked roses. You can order here.
Cheesecake lovers, rise! Here is one of the most gorgeous cheesecakes ever. And no, that is not a big block of cheese. That’s what ByLove calls their Sweesecake. Inside is a vanilla cheesecake center on top of a crushed graham crust, but what’s special about this cake is its outer layer that resembles a block of Swiss cheese and is actually made of Swiss cheese mixed with cream cheese. If you want the full experience, you can get this Sweesecake with a grazing board full of biscuits, pretzels, nuts, and fruits on the side. You can order here.
Dainty Confections treat their cakes as their canvas — quite literally. They use glazing to ‘paint’ their cakes and bring together wonderful colors that would make you think it should be placed as the centerpiece art on your table. Maybe your guests would even think the cake is made of fragile glass with how shiny the final product is. You can order here.
A painting on your cake? Yes, it’s possible. Gelatin At Its Best specializes in cakes made of jelly, but the center of attention here is really the customized design embedded in each gelatin cake. It ranges from flower-filled letters and numbers to a painting of your favorite beach. You can order here.
Botanicakes — that’s what Doughmestic calls their absolutely breathtaking bouquets of cakes. Each cake is hand-crafted and styled individually, with colors uniquely mixed for every cake, so you can be sure that no two cakes are ever the same. Each flower is carefully and painstakingly crafted and styled onto the cakes that you’d probably mistake the cake for a pot of blooms if you don’t see the cake base beneath it. They actually have a pot-inspired cake called Botanipot. You can order here or through their Viber account +63 928 805 3188.
Here’s another bakery that makes flower cakes, but maybe Blooms is taking it to the next level. They put literal flowers on your cakes and they’re just so gorgeous. Don’t worry, these flowers and leaves are all edible, grown organically in the owner’s garden. You can order here.
Why gift a bouquet of roses when you could gift a box of rose cupcakes instead? Baker P’s Pretz Eugenio-Tinsay makes sure every swirl of cream over her cakes and cupcakes are as pretty as the real roses in your garden. So leave those poor flowers alone and just send your S.O. (or yourself) some of these gorgeous rose cupcakes. You can order here.
