Already excited for September? Aside from the fact that everybody’s favorite Tito (dare we say Lolo?) will be in speakers of department stores everywhere, there are a lot of thing to look forward to with the first –ber month of the year. Here are some September 2018 events for you!
The first ever StyleFest PH will be held from September 7-9 at the Grand Hyatt Manila in Taguig. The event promises a full fashion experience for Pinoys with its lineup of fashion shows, design expositions, mentorship sessions, and style talks from both local and international speakers. StyleFest also serves as a venue where emerging designers can interact with veterans in the industry.
The three-day festival weekend is in partnership with Globe, Zalora Philippines, SAGA Events, and the Grand Hyatt Manila. Tickets are available here.
This year’s Food and Drinks Asia will be held from September 6 to 9 at the World Trade Center in Pasay. This will be the 22nd International Expo on Specialty Food, Delicatessen, Confectionery, Beverages, Wines and Spirits. Food and drink lovers can expect expos on supermarket, grocery, and convenience store supplies as well as expos on coffee and tea and natural and organic food and supplements. Guests can have a chance to interact with businessmen and experts, and industry professionals.
The first ever weekend Food Truck Fair started last August 24 at Circulo Verde in Quezon City and will run every Friday to Sunday until September 9, 2018 from 4PM to 11PM. It features a varied line-up of local food truck staples that offer international cuisine and desserts. Participating food trucks include Bagwings, Shawarma Bros, Mio Gelati, Ser Chef Lechon, Mexikombi, Schmidt’s International Gourmet Hotdogs, Pepe’s Elote Mexican Street Corn, The Soulfood Truck, Infinitea Food Truck, Brother’s Burger, and Malcolm’s Burger.
There will also be live acoustic performances for the perfect laid-back weekender in the city. Bring your family and friends for a weekend and enjoy the good food and peaceful ambiance.
Bookworms save the date as the biggest book fair in Manila is back once again! Coming from a huge and successful event last year, the 39th Manila International Book Fair this year will once again be occupying the two floors of the SMX Convention Center in Pasay. The five-day event will run from September 12 to 16, giving everyone ample time to visit and hoard books. Discounted books aren’t the only perks of MIBF 2018, there are also book signings, performances, meet-ups, and book-related bazaars. Get your free tickets here!
MUNI Meetups are something to look forward to. It isn’t only a venue where you’d get a chance meet new people with a passion for saving and protecting the Earth but it’s also a place where you can learn more about sustainable living and a waste-free life. This September, aside from a pop-up shopping event, they’re cooking up something that will teach guests how to celebrate events in a sustainable way.
The aftermath of the recent habagat was a slap in the face for Filipinos. Manila Bay was caked with tons of trash and although there was an initial cleanup done, it still wasn’t enough to remove all the trash that stretched on the shore. Synergy Sessions is a recurring event that invites everyone to jam and hang out to a night filled with music, lights, fire dancing, and drumming. Those planning to visit are encouraged to bring toys, drums, yoga mats, banigs, and participate in the various activities like drum circle and sunset fire. There will also be merchants selling hand-made jewelry, clothing, and other novelty items. The event is free so make sure to drop by on September 23 at Uptown Bonifacio; the event will be from 3PM to 10PM.
Dua Lipa was simply a rising star not long ago and now she has skyrocketed to fame with hits like New Rules, IDGAF, and Blow Your Mind. She came to Manila for the first time in 2017 as part of In The Mix 2 and now she’s coming back for her solo tour on September 14 at MOA Arena. Tickets are reportedly sold out so if you don’t have yours yet, better pray for a miracle!
