How do you get internet virality right? Take notes from Annel Ramones, the lady behind the show-stopping “Ulirang Tita” post that went viral last year. This time, she’s back with a sequel, still accompanying her nephew on important milestones but now upgraded with her very own bodyguard.

The first viral post

In July 2021, Annel Ramones donned the persona of a mysterious rich aunt accompanying her nephew Miggy Ramones in his online recognition awards. She wore a little black dress, a blazer, cat-eye shades, a handbag, and an oversized wide-brimmed hat all in black to complete her persona. Tita goals!

“Last year 2021, ako yung last option para umattend ng graduation ng pamangkin ko. Yung dad nya kasi nurse on duty, and then my mom can’t attend as well kasi may lakad daw,” she told Smart Parenting. “Naisip ko lang sa back ng mind ko, what if mag bihis ako ng sobrang OA tapos umattend ako? Tutal zoom lang naman, wala naman mawawala.”

The uber-sophisticated Ulirang Tita acknowledged that her nephew could be embarrassed, so she wore ‘normal’ clothes during the event itself. But they did take photos with her Ulirang Tita persona.

According to Annel Ramones, her nephew’s dad is a solo parent and a nurse, so she and her mother spent a lot of time taking care of Miggy. This, in turn, resulted in the aunt and nephew pair being close, with Tita Annel being present in nearly all of Miggy’s life milestones.

The first viral post has over 222,000 reactions, 1,500 comments, and 90,000 shares, as of writing.

The Ulirang Tita sequel

This year, nephew Miggy just attended his graduation rites, and of course, his ever-present Ulirang Tita was there to accompany him. Now, however, the mysterious-looking aunt in all black is accompanied by her own bodyguard. The role of guard was played by her cousin, wearing a complete black outfit of suit, sunglasses, and cap. Tita goals upgraded!

The photos were captioned with “‘pls itigil na nten 2 tita…….’” and “new character unlocked.” As of writing, the sequel post has 61,000 reactions and 20,000 shares.

Celebration at the mall

In celebration of her nephew’s graduation, Ulirang Tita brought Miggy to SM Bacoor mall to treat him to a meal. Still in her all black outfit with fancy jewelry, elbow-length gloves, and wide-brimmed hat, Ulirang Tita is now accompanied with three escort guards to make sure she can easily and peacefully go around the mall. Ulirang Tita is truly on a whole other level now.

In one photo where her escort guards were making way for her, Ulirang Tita captioned: “excuse me daw p0 may dadaan na alikabok!” In another photo, she tells her nephew: “Ubucin mu ean at bibilan pa kta ng isang branch ng SM……” She has really embodied this persona of mysterious, rich aunt so well! Tita goals personified!

Her mall visit post has 71,000 reactions, 238 comments, and 21,000 shares as of writing.
