Why it’s on our watchlist:
It’s a Christopher Nolan film, need we say more? But in all seriousness, The Odyssey is the director’s first film since 2023’s Oppenheimer. Combine Nolan’s filmmaking style with a classic epic like Homer’s Odyssey, and viewers like us are truly in for a treat. Not to mention we get a stacked AF cast to play all these beloved characters, which includes Matt Damon as Odysseus, Anne Hathaway as Penelope, Tom Holland as Telemachus, Robert Pattinson as Antinous, and we can go on and on and on. Honestly, we just can’t wait to be blown away by The Odyssey. (Yes, we’re definitely watching this on IMAX.) — Meryl Medel

Episodes: 8
Where to watch: Prime Video
Why it’s on our watchlist:
Legally Blonde gave us so many memorable moments and lines, and we’ll be forever grateful to this franchise for giving us the icon that is Elle Woods. This time around, we see a younger Elle in her high school years, navigating a jarring transition from the glitzy 1995 Beverly Hills to the rainy, grungy Seattle. We’re expecting both new and familiar sides to Elle, including how she ended up taking interest in law and how she met her beloved dog Bruiser. — Meryl Medel

Why it’s on our watchlist:
Peter Parker swings back into action in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the latest chapter in Marvel’s web-slinging saga following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. With the world no longer remembering who he is, Peter starts over while facing new threats that test him both as a hero and as an ordinary young man. The film is expected to introduce fresh allies and formidable villains, making it one of Marvel’s most anticipated releases. If MJ forgetting Peter makes you sad, this is a great opportunity to remind yourself that Tom Holland and Zendaya are now married IRL. Just an FYI. —Kyzia Maramara

Why it’s on our watchlist:
2026 is indeed a good year for horror fans as we’ve been getting releases of great films every month. The Australian queer film Leviticus is no stranger to the hype, with many fans already looking forward to it. Set in a highly religious and conservative town in Australia, Leviticus follows the life of a new kid in town Naim (Joe Bird) as he shares a secret first love affair with local athlete Ryan (Stacy Clausen). Once the uber conservative community discovers their relationship, the boys become subjects to a cleansing ritual, which unleashes an entity. However, this shapeshifting being can only be seen by victims and manifests itself as the person they desire the most. Will the lovers survive this relentless curse?
Filipino fans are lucky, of course, as our wishes were granted. The horror film is premiering exclusively in select SM Cinemas, so you better check if there will be a schedule in a branch near you. — Ina Manto

Why it’s on our watchlist:
Pride Month may be over, but stories that celebrate love, identity, and acceptance deserve a place on our screens all year round. That’s exactly why Heartstopper Forever is at the top of my watchlist. After following Nick Nelson (Kit Connor) and Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) through the highs and lows of first love and self-discovery, I’m ready to see how their story reaches its heartfelt conclusion.
The film follows Nick as he prepares to leave for university while Charlie embraces a new chapter at school. As the reality of a long-distance relationship begins to sink in, they must navigate growing up, changing priorities, and the uncertainty of whether first love can truly stand the test of time.
If Heartstopper has taught me anything, it’s that the quietest moments often leave the biggest impact. I already know this final chapter will make me laugh, cry, and leave me emotionally wrecked in the best way possible. I’m more than ready for one last heartfelt ride with this group that has made so many people feel seen and understood. — Aila Cruz

Why it’s on our watchlist:
Enola Holmes has always carried a layer of social commentary beneath its well-loved mystery plots—the first two films watched a young woman carve out her own name and career in a world built to overlook her. This third movie introduces a new tension—love and identity—especially now that she has a new mystery to solve concerning her very own brother, Sherlock. As Enola prepares to marry Tewkesbury, the film asks what she stands to gain, and possibly give up, in choosing partnership after spending two films choosing independence. — AJ Martinez

Why it’s on our watchlist:
It’s finally almost here! Disney brings one of its most beloved animated films to life with the live-action adaptation of Moana. The film follows the fearless Moana (Catherine Laga’aia) as she sets sail on a daring voyage to save her island, joining forces with the demigod Maui (Dwayne Johnson) for an adventure across the ocean. Although we’re bummed that Bretman Rock did not voice Hei Hei’s clucks (we’re still hoping!) as the Internet so eagerly fancasted, we’re still excited to revisit one of the most heartwarming Disney movies to date. — Kyzia Maramara
Release date: 4 July 2026
Episodes: 12
Where to watch: Disney+
Why it’s on our watchlist:
The Husband is already on my watchlist because it has everything I love in a K-drama—thrill, mystery, and emotional drama. Namkoong Min stars as Kang Tae Joo, a renowned neurosurgeon who becomes the prime suspect when his estranged wife, Go Se Yoon (played by Lee Seol), is kidnapped before their divorce is finalized. With a gripping story and a strong cast that also includes Kim Dae Myung (Hospital Playlist) and Lee Sang Hee (My Name Is Loh Kiwan), this is one series I can’t wait to binge — Aila Cruz
