8 Must-Visit Restaurants in Legaspi Village that Will Fulfill All Your Cravings

RESTOLV_header Many people know Makati as one of the capital’s busiest business hubs. Everywhere you look, banks, agencies and big corporations show up every other few feet. People in fancy suits walk briskly past you as they hurry for work, not to mention the general aura of Makati just screams “B-U-S-Y.” For some, it can be an overwhelming scene to contend with every day.

Don’t let your day end with a frown and a tired mind! Instead, treat yourself with some of Legaspi Village’s best food destinations. It’s time to get rid of that work-hard-play-hard vibe for a while and just dive into the pleasure of food.

8. One Way

If you just want a quick lunch out with your friends, try their Pamplona pizza with cherry tomato and lemon dressing, or you can make your own pizza. You can also vamp up your meal by trying their specials, like Ralph’s Roasted Rack of Lamb served with garlic potato and mint sauce or their Duck Confit with fried potato, garlic portwine and cranberry sauce. (Don’t forget to wear black and white to get a free baguette!)

Location: Unit 1A, 200 Concorde Bldg., Salcedo cor. Benavidez St., Legaspi Village
Contact Number/s: 02 869 8958, 0906 557 2588
Budget: P800 per person

Living by their motto, “You don’t have to eat less, you just have to eat right,” Kitchen 1B really offers a wholesome alternative by using more nutritional ingredients that will leave customers happy and healthy. Its owner, Marivic Diaz-Lim, a cancer survivor, shares her love for food and her inspirational journey through the restaurant by offering such meals like corned steak and eggs for breakfast, mushroom and eggplant lasagna or lamb curry for lunch and blueberry and white chocolate cheesecake for dessert.

Location: Ground Floor, KL Tower, Gamboa St., Legaspi Village

If foodies dub this as the most authentic Japanese restaurant in Little Tokyo, then you definitely need to try and taste it for yourself. Try their Gyu Kushi (that just melts in your mouth) and spicy tuna. If you’re still not convinced, try their katsu don or miso soup or the kisu tempura or maybe just try everything else because it’s really that good, plus it’s well worth the money once you take into account that you’re paying for quality Japanese food.

Location: Little Tokyo, 2277 Pasong Tamo, Chino Roces Ave., Legaspi Village
Contact Number/s: 02 893 6131, 02 893 7319
Budget: P400 per person

If you’re not up for a heavy meal but up for good coffee and booze, then make your merry way to The Curator Coffee & Cocktails. You can go for their espresso or coffee or brighten up your day with fresh juices. The staff and baristas are also approachable and you can ask them their specials for the day or their suggestions for your kind of coffee. If you’re having a rough day, try their Blood and Sand (scotch, sweet vermouth, orange and cherry liqueur) or their New Kid in Town (reposado, lime, maraschino, branca menthe, sugar, mint and soda).

Get a taste of their Bo Luc Lac, the favorite stir-fried beef with fried basil leaves or their Chao Tom, shrimp paste and ground pork with veggies and rice noodles served in a sugarcane stick, classic Vietnamese style.

For coffee, you have an array of staple coffees to choose from, but you can also try their concept coffees, such as The Fluffy (sweet milk fluff topping cold and cool coffee) or their BST V2 (espresso over coffee jelly, toasted almonds and vanilla ice cream). Not a fan of coffee? Order their Yard Shake instead and pair it up with one of their best-selling sandwiches.
