Week in Weird: FaceApp Is Back and It’s Making Us See Our Faves in a New Light

Last week, we witnessed our favorite K-idols graduate from Philippine universities. This week, we’re seeing a resurgence of an old trend; our social media feeds have been riddled with edits done via the viral FaceApp. Last year, the app took the internet by storm as people tried to see what they would look like when they’re 80. Now, people are trying to see what they would look like if they’re the opposite gender, online privacy be damned. Of course, our favorite idols and celebrities have no escape from this! Just when we think they’re already oozing with visuals, check out what they would look like if they would be of the opposite gender:

New girl group, who this? What could be the concept of their first comeback? Looks like SM Entertainment’s Red Velvet and SNSD/Girls’ Generation aren’t the only female groups in the company! Fanboys will be screaming so hard for them.

Bonus: this edit of EXO Sehun just looks like he’s Filipina actress Carmina Villaroel. I think he’ll pass as a member of the Legazpis in the next Selecta ice cream commercial.

 

K-Drama Oppas

Here’s a K-drama concept a la The King: Eternal Monarch: male leading men travel to a parallel universe to find their counterparts. The twist is, they’re the opposite gender but they look exactly the same. Pwede ba yun, please?

This one is just too funny not to share! Looks like the Ben&Ben vocalist doesn’t need the app anymore because well, the long hair has become their brand. But some fans tried to make edits of the twins with short hair and in another universe, Miguel probably looks like this:
