Social media has been abuzz with so many things the past week it’s getting harder to keep track. We’ve got the Liza Soberano complaining about her internet service provider, Alice Dixson going around a marijuana farm, and news about Zanessa. If you can’t keep up with the trends, we’ve got you covered. Read on to find out more about this week’s trending topics.
Oh wow! Talk about speed. 🚀 We’re so thrilled that you can now experience a lag-free internet connection at home, Liza! 😉 Welcome to the family!
Should you need our online help, we’re just a message away! ❤️

When Liza Soberano complained about Converge’s glacial internet speed, we breathed a sigh of relief because we realized even goddesses like her aren’t spared from slow internet service and inconveniences. At least we’ve got something in common. But then PLDT swooped in, hooked her up “with the best internet I have ever experienced in my whole 5 years of living in this house” and saved the day.
It’s all well and great because Liza deserves the best until you realize you aren’t attractive, you’re a regular person, and PLDT still won’t listen to your complaints.
we all know this isnt because pldt provides better service its because shes liza soberano https://t.co/YQMMgW49i6

The first drive-in cinema was opened in SM City Pampanga Amphitheater last July and a few months later, we have our own version in Manila. Moviegoers who want to experience something other than watching Netflix on their bed can now visit SM Mall of Asia’s Concert Grounds Drive-In Cinema. Only vehicles with two to four passengers are allowed. You will also be given a specific FM radio frequency so you can broadcast the movie sound straight to your vehicle’s speakers. How cool is that?
This September it’s scheduled to screen two films, Train to Busan 2: Peninsula and Unhinged. You can check SM Tickets regularly for screening tickets.
Only one person won the Ultra Lotto 6/58 during the Sept. 6 draw. Imagine what you could do with that amount of money. It’s almost the same amount as the government’s budget for the controversial Manila Bay white sand beach nourishment project. Shocked face emoji.
The way my brain read Vanessa Hudgens and ran with it 😭😭😭😭 https://t.co/NjrNHpeywM

It has been a decade but we’re all still hung up on Zanessa, if we’re being honest. Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens is the ultimate OTP for Disney babies and the very definition of ‘the one that got away.’ Besides, Vanessa is still single so there might have been a chance, right? So when it was announced that Zac has a new girlfriend and her name was Vanessa (who looks like Hudgens at first glance too), you can’t blame the entire world for being excited. Unfortunately, 2020 is still out to get us. At least we can still recycle the Zanessa ship name.
After recently clarifying one of the most famous urban legends in the Philippines, Alice Dixson once again got everyone talking with her recent post. She posted a photo on Instagram of her surrounded by marijuana plants looking a little “like a deer in the headlights.” She confirmed that the photo was taken at a cannabis farm and that she will be releasing a vlog about it soon. Bet everyone’s excited.
BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky — an all-access documentary about one of the world’s most popular groups — premieres in your area on October 14!
Oh and that’s not all … on October 14, these music icons will also become Netflix profile icons pic.twitter.com/b9t00VnEMO

Blinks are buzzing with excitement. Not only will Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé be releasing their debut album (entitled The Album) on Oct. 14 but they will also be dropping a documentary. BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky follows the K-pop group’s life as idols, their recording process, and some exclusive footage of them performing at the 2019 Coachella festival.
And speaking of money, luxury brand Prada teamed up with Adidas to give us premium Superstars. The ‘Prada for Adidas’ collection boasts luxury sneakers in three colors: black, white/black, and chrome silver/white. Each pair costs about $400 to $500 USD or roughly P19,500 to P24,300. The collection will be released on Sept. 8 at Adidas’ website.
This week in Weirdest Collaborations That Kind of Works, American rapper Travis Scott has an actual McDonald’s Meal. Variety reports that he is the first celebrity to have his name on a meal, the last one was Michael Jordan back in ’92. The limited-edition meal will be available only in the United States and includes Quarter Pounder with Cheese, three pieces of sizzling bacon, and crisp lettuce; medium World Famous Fries with BBQ Sauce to dip, and a Sprite on the side.
In addition to the meal, Scott has also launched his 48-item McDonald’s merch collection which mostly includes clothes and a McNugget body pillow.
Me in the McDonald’s drive thru: Yes I’d like a Travis Scott burger please
McDonald’s employee: aye you a grown ass man, dawg
Me: :(

What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen all week?
Kyzia spends most of her time capturing the world around her through photos, paragraphs, and playlists. She is constantly on the hunt for the perfect chocolate chip cookie, and a great paperback thriller to pair with it.
