If you haven’t seen The Weeknd’s performance during the Super Bowl LV halftime show, what sort of rock are you living under? The man pulled out all the stops despite having no live audience due to COVID protocols (a pity, really). He’s got the bling blings, the strobe lights, fireworks, a grand stage, theatrics — the works. It was a grand performance that will go down in history. But aside from Abel Tesfaye (The Weeknd’s real name, ICYDK) making the Grammys regret snubbing him, his performance is also historic for an entirely different reason. It birthed quite possibly the best meme of the month, if not the year.
