The one who demands a photo shoot every 10 minutes

It’s your first time visiting this city or country, and you want to immortalize every moment with at least 20 selfies in every new spot. We love that for you. However, taking a moment to appreciate the picturesque scenery or savor the delicious cuisine in front of you won’t hurt either. Appreciate these moments without a phone in your face, for a change.

The one who HATES walking

Whether you’re a first-time or a seasoned traveler, you know a big chunk of your trip will be spent walking. That’s why it’s great to be with travel buddies with enough stamina to stay on their feet. Otherwise, your vacation plans would need a rehaul if you’re with folks who whine like puppies after a short walk. 

The one who doesn’t know respect

It’s a big bummer to travel with people who are insensitive or disrespectful of other cultures. Nobody gets a free pass to be rude while exploring just because it’s different from what you’re used to. Times have drastically changed, and Google is free. Use it!

The one na laging walang ambag

Don’t be the type of travel buddy who vanishes into thin air when it’s time to chip in. What are you? A tourist princess? Be that jet-setter everyone wants to be with and actually pitch in accordingly.

If you hate feeling hot and sticky and the feeling of sand between your toes gives you the heebie-jeebies, just don’t join beach trips. If you’re particular about toilets, don’t go on a camping trip. That way, no person has to deal with your grumpy mood. 

The one who’s always late

The Filipino time culture is deeply ingrained in our consciousness, and having travel buddies with that mindset is a surefire way to miss flights or travel tours. It’s hard to do all the things in your itinerary when you have folks who don’t respect other people’s time. If you can’t be punctual, just go solo or stay in the hotel.

The self-absorbed one

When traveling in a group, you’ve got to be considerate of everyone else’s wants. You can’t expect other people to tweak their plans on the spot to accommodate your travel bucket list. Instead, try to make a schedule that’s fair for everyone.

The one who’s always moody

Dealing with moody travel companions is every traveler’s worst nightmare. Not only do they drain the fun out of the experience, but they’ll also pester you with never-ending rants at the slightest inconvenience. It’s hard to enjoy the trip because you suddenly have to be a babysitter to pacify their qualms.
