Anytime is the perfect time to visit Baguio, one of Luzon’s most popular local destinations that keeps you coming back for more. From the nippy weather and relaxing views to the classic restaurants and famous strawberry taho, Baguio is the urban dweller’s escape. But there’s one more reason to fall in love with the City of Pines: a refreshed Baguio Arboretum Gallery opens to the public on October 19, 2026.

Nestled along Leonard Wood Road, the Baguio Arboretum Gallery is a part of the city government’s effort to provide more parks and ecological spaces around Baguio. Aptly named called an arboretum, the area is a botanical garden devoted to preserving trees and shrubs, a.k.a. a much-needed green space where visitors can relax and appreciate nature.
In an online post shared by the Baguio City Public Information Office, City Environment and Parks Management Office (CEPMO) head Atty. Rhenan Diwas shared: “The development of the Baguio Arboretum is part of the city’s pursuit of long-term environmental enhancement projects to help ease the increasing pressure on Baguio’s forests, watersheds, parks and other environmental infrastructure brought about by continued urban growth.”

The arboretum features a long elevated boardwalk with occasional sitting areas that winds through the forest. Surrounded by trees and sunlight, visitors can immerse themselves in the quiet atmosphere or try their luck at birdwatching, an activity the arboretum is already known for.
Diwas added that the arboretum aims to promote education, recreation, and conservation, a place where visitors can hit pause, breathe, and enjoy nature.
The boardwalk also connects the arboretum to the Baguio Botanical Garden.

If you’re planning to visit the Baguio Arboretum Gallery on your next Baguio trip, you’ll find it at the Baguio Botanical Garden. Visitors can enter through the Baguio Botanical Garden and vice versa.
Fees depend on whether you’re a tourist or a Baguio local. Tourists pay P110 for adults, while children 12 years old and below pay P27.50. Senior citizens and PWDs get a 20% discount.
Baguio residents pay P55, while children 13 years old and above, students, senior citizens, and PWDs pay P27.50. Entrance is free for Baguio residents 12 years old and below.
The entrance fee is worth it, since it also grants you access to the Baguio Botanical Garden connected to the Arboretum Boardwalk.
