Post-Valentine’s-Feels Perfectly Captured at the Boyce Avenue Concert

Perfectly Captured at the

Boyce Avenue Concert
By 8List.ph

It seems Boyce Avenue is forming a habit of spending their Valentine’s in the Philippines (and just generally visiting their Pinoy fans). Of course, no one is complaining–Boyce Avenue fans are definitely feeling the opposite about the band’s comeback for their Be Somebody Tour. Just a day after Valentine’s Day, the first out of their five-concerts in the Philippines happened last night at the Araneta Coliseum.

Wealthy with sources for hugot and cues for holding your bae tighter, Boyce Avenue’s concert was definitely an awesome post-Valentine’s affair. Whether your feels are leaning towards the positive or more on the sawi, Boyce Avenue’s soulful covers and awesome originals perfectly captured a whole range of Valentine’s-related emotions.

8. Clingy Stage with Your New Bae

Fresh from the tedious search for the one, newly-hooked couples are understandably still very clingy to each other. There were many couples of this kind taking full advantage of the Boyce Avenue concert, and this song served as their most appropriate background.

7. Giddy from Receiving an Awesome V-Day Gift

This new original song from Boyce Avenue is their special Valentine’s gift for you–duh. A gift that your bae(s) really put in the effort to make (or sing) for you is definitely way better than store-bought presents. Of course, the boys of Boyce Avenue knew that.

6. Content to Be with Your Bae

Majority of the audience were googly-eyed couples, so this song definitely set the perfect mood for their romantic post-Valentine’s date. With lyrics “this is all that I want; this is all that I need” blasting in the background, hand in hand couples got closer and closer to each other as they swayed to Boyce Avenue’s I’ll Be The One.

Meanwhile, the single population all went to the bathroom. Just kidding.

5. Saksak Puso Sawi Feels

For those who spent Valentine’s Day broken-hearted or bitter, the Manzano brothers reserved a very appropriate song for your sore souls. Boyce Avenue’s emotion-filled version of Stitches by Shawn Mendes activated all of the sawi population’s feels.

4. Post-Breakup Hugot

When they belted out “I know I’m not perfect,” a little piece of our insides flinched because of how genuine and relatable the song sounded. This tune served as a great source for hugot, especially for those who’ve ever been dumped (and just recently at that).

3. Manliligaw Persistence

Boyce Avenue’s rendition of the classic, Wonderwall by Oasis, got every tito and tita of Manila hyped up. After all, this song was the anthem for almost anyone with a crush, going through the process of proving that indeed, no one feels the way they do about their crush now.

2. Wishful-Thinking You Get Noticed

You’ve found the person that you want to be with, but unfortunately, Valentine’s Day this year didn’t come with a date with the one you want (or any at all). Boyce Avenue gets that post-Valentine’s feels, and they played a song just right for that all-too-familiar feeling: Use Somebody by Kings of Leon.

1. Relieved You Found a Valentine

Who needs one Valentine when you can have three? Even Boyce Avenue’s lead singer Alejandro admitted that in the several times they visited the Philippines, they come around the time of Valentine’s Day. They arrived a day late this year, but with three good-looking musicians as your dates, can you really complain about slight tardiness? O, bawal choosy.

If you missed Boyce Avenue last night, try catching them on their other shows—Waterfront Hotel Cebu on Feb 18, Limketkai Mall CDO on Feb 19, St. La Salle Coliseum Bacolod on Feb 20 and University of Baguio on Feb 22. If you spent your post-Valentine’s with Boyce Avenue, though, what were your feels? Share those emotions below!
