8 Thai Commercials That Prove They are the Master of Feels

Considering that government intervention is very latently practiced in Thailand, it’s pretty impressive what direction they decided to take that intervention in. Needless to say, it has become common practice nowadays for Thai commercials to run long and evoke tears from its audiences much in the same way Japan elicits WTF’s with theirs.

Here are just 8 examples to show you what we mean. For the sake of enjoying the videos thoroughly, I will not describe them as much as I normally would want to.

8. Acts of Kindness

Cat videos are cool and all, but it’s impossible to imagine a cat ever doing anything like this, eh? A little kindness indeed goes a long way. That is one very smart dog, and it would seem that Thai commercials like to drill home the notion of being nice to people.

7. Scholarships Project

Teach your children to fish so that they can feed themselves. :)

How does one teach their child to become an entrepreneur? There are a million ways, but this one is perhaps one of the most endearing ways ever. Ultimately, this ad is pushing a scholarship project, which tries to empower budding businesspeople to make it in the marketplace.

6. My Dad Is a Liar

With a title like that, you would think this is the tale of a very horrible dad. You would be very, very surprised.

Even more surprising? This is an insurance commercial for MetLife. Who knew insurance policies and premiums can tug on your heartstrings like this?

5. Sister

“C” is for “cancer.” And “crying.” That’s pretty much a given, but framing it as a tale of two sisters on the verge of estrangement really just adds an extra oomph. The National Cancer Institute definitely struck gold with this one.
