You’re about to get a whole lot of ABBA music and sunshine because MAMMA MIA! the musical returns to Manila this month! As part of their International Tour, the feel-good musical opened last September 29 at The Theater in Solaire. MAMMA MIA! is Judy Craymer’s ingenious vision of staging the story-telling magic of ABBA’s timeless songs with an enchanting tale of family and friendship unfolding on a Greek island paradise. QCinema International Film Festival (QCinema) pays tribute to the richness of French cinema by highlighting classic titles for the Filipino cinephile. The sixth edition of QCinema includes suspense thriller film “Diabolique,” a film on sexuality entitled “And God Created Woman,” and “Five and the Skin,” a Filipino-French production shot entirely in Manila.
QCinema will feature the films from October 21 to 30, 2018, at Gateway Mall (Cineplex 10); Robinsons Galleria (Robinsons Movieworld); and Ayala Malls Cinema in Trinoma and U.P. Town Center.
For its 23rd magical year, Enchanted Kingdom has lots of surprises and treats in store for everyone! EK invites everyone to walk down memory lane and relive their best childhood days roaming and trying out rides in the park. There’s the 6th Sky Wizardry Fireworks Competition on October 13 where you can watch the sky light up with magical colors. On October 20, GMA will be hosting a GMA Kapuso Show where stars from the network celebrate with you in a night of fun. Sarah Geronimo, James Reid, Janine Tenoso, and The Juans will grace the stage on the 23rd Anniversary Concert on October 27.

Pelicula is known as the largest Spanish Film Festival in Southeast Asia. This month it brings us the 16th edition of Película-Pelíkula: Manila Spanish Film Festival which will run from October 4 to 20 in the following cinemas: Greenbelt 3 Cinemas, UP Film Center, and Instituto Cervantes Intramuros. The full lineup and schedule is yet to be announced.
What’s October without Oktoberfest? And what’s Oktoberfest without San Miguel? Beer drinkers and lovers unite at San Miguel Oktoberfest where you can find fellow people with a passion for beer. There will be OPM performances, food, and lots of surprises, the best part is that it’s free admission! This year it’ll be held in Circuit Makati on October 27.
