This Mother and Daughter TikToker Duo Shows Us What Healthy Parenting Can Look Like

TikTok is an unpredictable rabbit hole. Your FYP might give you the weirdest food combinations then suddenly show you some clips on how to clean a dirty toilet. But who would have thought that you could heal your mom issues here?
Mommy Russel and Kia’s videos show how she handles being a mother to a Gen Z, which many parents think is the most complicated thing in the universe (is it, really?).
Kia, 18, like many teenagers, loves going out with friends, buying random things from Shopee, and collecting albums and photo cards. These things might be the trigger points of some parents, but Russel has a different approach to these situations. She doesn’t get mad and come screaming at her daughter. Instead, she’ll let Kia enjoy her teenage life — with healthy boundaries, of course.
