This morning we were rocked by the news that the famous amusement park Star City was on fire. All our precious childhood memories are now gone! The amusement park’s management said that it will take about a year for the amusement park to reopen. The possible cause of the fire may be arson according to the BFP. Here are the internet’s saddest reactions to the fire:
Today is a sad morning.
Star City and my workplace (MBC) was engulfed by fire earlier. Everything is now down to ashes. But I am glad that my workmates and friends are safe.
It saddening thinking that its almost Christmas season and this happened. Be safe everyone! pic.twitter.com/AhY8kw4nrO

Had lots of precious and fun memories of Star City back when we were in highschool and the news that it is on fire really saddens me.

Do you still remember the first time you went to Star City? The joy you felt as you were lining up for the rides. That thrill as you scream your heart out while riding the star flyer, and the beautiful view from above the Giant Star wheel.
The Star City fire kind of hits hard bec I spent some good times–even a birthday– there when I was a kid. IDK, it just made me feel something.

Birthdays and your Barkada’s gala will never be the same….
The Sad Reality
I think the saddest thing about the Star City fire incident is the amount of employees/business owners that are now jobless. 😞

The hardest part about the incident is the number of people who lost their jobs because of the fire. Imagine leaving work knowing that tomorrow is a brand new day, only to wake up to the news that all of it is gone, just like that.
As I am on my way to work today, I heard a sad news knowing that Star City is on fire. Sigh! It makes me so sad real quick. My childhood amusement park is now gone! #StarCity 🥺

Some of the kids who went to Star City are now adults. As if adulting wasn’t hard enough.

Big cheers to the firefighters and the Philippine Red Cross personnel who helped put the fire out.
