Gen Z has a new shopping obsession: flea markets and pop-ups, and it’s easy to see why. These vibrant events bring dozens of local merchants under one roof for a celebration of all things local and sustainabnle. At these weekend pop-ups, you get to thrift one-of-a-kind vintage outfits, personalize charm bracelets with your besties, or snag outfits from the local brands you’ve been seeing online. These events are also complete with booths for delicious snacks and pastries and refreshing iced coffee to fuel your shopping spree. Even if you don’t plan on buying anything, you can still drop by these community markets “for the vibe” and connect with people with the same passions and interests.

July 27 to 28, 11 AM to 9 PM
Arrive empty-handed, leave with a couple of clothes, a film camera, a few charm bracelets, and three or four new accounts you’re following on Instagram — that’s the beauty of a South Trading Post event. The upcoming flea market this July will include a new Sonny Angels merchant for blind box lovers, tons of vintage clothing, a photo booth, tattoos and piercings, and more. Entrance is FREE, so don’t forget to invite your besties!

More than 30 merchants will set up shop for The Solana Market’s pop-up events this July and August. The list includes the dainty jewelry brand Solasta, Spring Blings for the cutest cake trinket holders, Giddy for chic pouches, Isa the Label for timeless OOTDs, and so much more. To fuel your retail therapy sesh, Poke Bubs, Got Baked, and Tostado is ready with delicious food and refreshing beverages.

Keep your last weekend of August free because Finders Keepers will be hosting its monthly pop-up, and this time, it’s somewhere north. Don’t miss out on a chance to check vintage and local apparel brands, add to your jewelry collection, snap cute photos at a photobooth, and sip and dine with your friends. And listen, even if your budget’s a bit tight at the moment, going to Finders Keepers for the vibe is totally acceptable. Follow them on Instagram for updates on their location reveal.

Better set your alarms for Palengke Club’s first pop-up happening in August. They’ll be bringing a host of merchants, fondly called tindera at tindero, including vintage clothes curators Manong, The Weeknd Studios, and Love, Dianna. Matcha cafe Chotto Matcha will also be having their own booth for attendees to enjoy some food and drinks while they shop. There is a “Pay what you can” entrance fee at Palengke Club with no minimum amount required. But before you pay, you might want to know that this first pop-up is also to raise funds for furbabies and rescued animals.

The Fig Archives is poised to create its own new, vibrant community where people from all walks of life can share their interests and passions, even just for a weekend. Their first-ever pop-up this coming August will let attendees “explore an eclectic mix of antique treasures, retro collectibles, cool bargains, and unique experiences.” Although no merchants have been officially announced, you can expect the usual rotation of vintage clothing, photobooth, tattoo & piercing, food and drinks, tarot reading, and more. Don’t miss out on this on-day pop-up by The Merkado! It’s got free entrance for you to experience the best vintage finds, gastronomic delights, and other activities. At The Merkado, expect local clothing brands like Wear Classica, Vin the Line, and The Velour plus jewelry from Solasta, Love Wednesdays, and Rajah. If you need a break to fuel up or get your coffee fix, you can help yourself to The Corner House delights!
