The last four months of the year are special for numerous reasons: the return of major sports leagues, BER MONTHS, the holidays, good business, and many others.
For people who love being glued to their couches and watching television, it also means the return of their favorite shows and the arrival of new series.
We’ve compiled 8 new TV show arriving in the last quarter of the year for you to check out:
Now technically, this is a cartoon/anime, but it is going to be part of Star Wars canon. The events of the new series from a galaxy far, far away takes place decades after Return of the Jedi and six months prior to The Force Awakens. It centers around Kazuda Xiono, a pilot of The Resistance instructed to spy on The First Order. Popular characters like BB-8, Poe Dameron, and Captain Phasma are expected to appear, too.

Think Friday Night Lights meets One Tree Hill. The show is about a high school football player from Southern Los Angeles who transfers to a new, more luxurious lifestyle as a player at Beverly Hills High. The story was inspired by the life of former NFL player Spencer Paysinger.

The show is set in the DC Universe and is based on the story of the same name. It will center around Robin (who kinda hates Batman here) teaming up with Raven and a few other super-powered beings to save the planet from destruction. So, the usual comic book trope, but it looks like fun!
From the creator of Mad Men comes The Romanoffs, an anthology series set around the globe that will focus on stories of different human beings who believe they are descendants of the Russian royal family. The concept sounds a little cheesy, but the fact its created by Matthew Weiner makes it very intriguing.
BBC is set to release a six-part adaptation of the French novel written by Victor Hugo. Starring Dominic West, David Oyelowo, and Lily Collins, the show will focus more on the story and not include the songs that were part of the musical, making it quite different from the film that was released a few years back.
The show will be an adaptation of the novel written in 1898 by H.G. Wells, who was the first author to write about an alien invasion of Earth. The BBC series will star Rafa Spall, Eleanor Tomlinson, and Rupert Graves in the time period of Victorian London. The story paved the way for alien-invasion related tales in literature, making it interesting how it would do on television.
The CW is coming out with a reboot of the original Charmed TV series that was one of the most popular shows during the turn of the century. For those who forgot: the show is set in the town of Hilltowne about three sisters who have magical powers and fight off demons. Those who watched the own series know what to expect, while first-timers will get the chance to be introduced to the story.
Remember Sabrina the Teenage Witch? Well, this is the Riverdale-d version of that series which will be on Netflix. Just watch the trailer – simply put, it’s creepy AF.
