Where to Go for Desserts in Makati

Jun 11, 2019   •   Kyzia Maramara

Craving sweets after a long day of work? These restaurants and kiosks in Makati are here to sweeten your day!

Kiss the Tiramisu

Three Central Building, 109 Valero Street, Salcedo Village

8AM to 11PM daily

Php 600 for two

In the quieter parts of Salcedo Village in Makati is a dessert parlor that satiates and fuses our love for tiramisu and ice cream. Kiss the Tiramisu is café that originated in Seoul, South Korea and became famous for their delectable Instagram-worthy ice creams. They opened their branch in the Philippines in late 2017 featuring other treats such as cakes and pancakes in their menu.

Poison Coffee and Doughnut

Ground Floor, Karrivin Plaza, 2316 Chino Roces Avenue, Magallanes
9AM to 6PM daily
Php 500 for two

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city within the city. Poison Coffee and Doughnuts’ neon purple lights will lure you in and make you stay with a bite of their unusual flavored doughnuts and ‘dangerous’ coffee. They’re still developing doughnut flavors (there’s currently a Champorado and Tuyo flavor!) and we can’t wait to know what their future concoctions are!

Scout’s Honor

Hole in the Wall, Fourth Floor, Century City Mall, Kalayaan Avenue, Poblacion
8AM to 9PM daily
Php 500 for two

Scout’s Honor believes that the best time to eat your cookie is when it’s freshly baked and we couldn’t agree more. This café lets you craft your own cookie for P135 but if you’re feeling like you aren’t up for the task, their Scoutmaster Cookies (P250) will do the trick.

Tsujiri

Tsujiri is a 155-year old Japanese green tea matcha brand that originated from Kyoto, Japan. If you’re a matcha lover, their authentic, premium green-tea drinks and matcha-infused desserts are a must-try.

Overdoughs

11AM to 10PM daily
Php 400 for two

Get your bite-sized doughnut and cookie fix from this small kiosk in Century City Mall. Their regular cookies are palm-sized and baked fresh, talk about indulging! Overdoughs’ doughnuts also come with a special dip, the chocolate option is even made with Auro, a local chocolate brand. It’s perfect for snacking on the go!

Sugar + Swirls

Second Floor, Main Mall, Ayala Malls Circuit, Carmona
10AM to 9PM daily
Php 500 for two

Sugar + Swirls is a fairly new dessert bar that will make every sweet tooth fall to their knees, especially if they have a sweet spot (pun intended) for ice cream and cotton candy. Their Cloud Cones are huge treats made out of cotton candy cone, your choice of ice cream, toppings, and drizzles. If the sweets get too much for you, they also have sandwiches, burgers, and fries.

Crepe Amelie

Ground Floor, A. Venue Mall, 7829 Makati Avenue, Poblacion
7AM to 11PM daily

Antel 2000 Corporate Center, Valero Street, Salcedo Village
Mon-Fri 9AM to 10PM daily, Sat 9AM to 5PM  (Salcedo)
Php 700 for two

Aside from meals, sandwiches, and pasta, this French café brings you your daily fix of crepe – paper-thin pancake folded or stacked and drizzled with toppings and sauce of your choice. They offer savory crepes (Chicken a la King, Roast Beef), and the more famous dessert crepes (Strawberries and Cream, Mango Chocolate). If you find that you want to bring that entire goodness home, you can get an entire crepe cake for sharing. Or just for yourself.

BAKE Cheese Tart

Via Facebook: Bake Cheese Tart Philippines

2F Power Plant Mall, Rockwell
10AM to 9PM daily
Php 300 for two

Don’t let their size fool you, these cheese tarts might be small you’ll find yourself inhaling three pieces at a time. There’s a reason why its branches in Japan always have long lines. Originally from Hokkaido, BAKE Cheese Cake tarts resemble bite-sized cheesecakes with thicker crusts and a filling that’s delightful in texture. Refrigerate yours before eating and enjoy!

Kyzia spends most of her time capturing the world around her through photos, paragraphs, and playlists. She is constantly on the hunt for the perfect chocolate chip cookie, and a great paperback thriller to pair with it.
