Who says you need a plane ticket to go on a food trip around the world? Last weekend, foodies explored flavors from around the globe without leaving Metro Manila, thanks to The Great Clara Olé Food Trip. From chef-crafted dishes inspired by international cuisines to bite-sized treats that brought familiar flavors together in unexpected ways, the event proved that a little culinary adventure can take you places. Beyond tasting these flavors firsthand, the event also offered inspiration you can bring to your own kitchen.
The food adventure kicked off at Brutal by Wadoughs in Quezon City, where Chef Wado Siman prepared a special four-course tasting menu featuring Clara Olé’s new Multipurpose Sauces. Rather than simply showcasing the sauces, the Filipino chef and entrepreneur gave familiar ingredients an international twist, creating dishes inspired by different culinary traditions.

First on the menu was Paella Pani Puri, a creative fusion of two beloved dishes from Spain and India. The dish combined the flavors of Spanish paella with the crispy, bite-sized format of Indian pani puri, brought together with Clara Olé Paella Blend.

Next was Crab Chawanmushi, inspired by Japan’s delicate steamed egg custard. Traditionally made with ingredients like seafood, chicken, mushrooms, and dashi, this version featured crab and Clara Olé Aligue Flavored Blend for a richer, more indulgent take on the Japanese favorite.

The culinary journey continued to Italy with Beef Tortellini en Brodo, featuring stuffed pasta served in a comforting broth. Clara Olé Tomato Guisado Blend added depth and savory flavor to the dish.

Rounding out the menu was Steamed Sea Bass with Ginger & Garlic, an Asian-inspired dish that paired delicate fish with the familiar flavors of ginger and garlic, enhanced by Clara Olé Ginger & Garlic Blend.
Four dishes, different culinary influences, and plenty of inspiration for anyone looking to get more creative in the kitchen.

The food trip didn’t end with the chef’s tasting menu. Over at Trinoma Activity Center, The Great Clara Olé Food Trip welcomed mall-goers to a public food experience featuring eight stops inspired by destinations around the world, from East Asia to the Mediterranean.
Visitors got to sample an assortment of sweet and savory treats, including Ginger & Garlic Dumplings, Aligue Rice Cups, Tomato Guisado Mini Tacos, and Paella.

Those with a sweet tooth weren’t left out, either. The lineup also featured Cinnamon Cream Cheese Waffles, Black Forest Cream Puffs, Strawberries and Cream Scones, and the familiar Peach Mango Suman.
Beyond the food, guests could participate in booth activities, collect stamps on their event passports, and win prizes and tokens. Event partners The Travel Club and Res Toe Run, both under the Primer Group of Companies, also joined the festivities with a travel-themed photo wall featuring luggage and discount vouchers.
Thousands of mall-goers participated in the activities, turning an ordinary weekend mall visit into a food-filled adventure.

While The Great Clara Olé Food Trip has wrapped up, the culinary adventure doesn’t have to end there. The event also introduced Clara Olé’s new Multipurpose Sauces and Cake Spreads, designed to help home cooks experiment with different flavors and give everyday dishes a creative twist.
