If you like listening to K-pop, you might be surprised to see these familiar faces acting on the small screen. Some of the biggest idols are also amazing actors and actresses too! These idols have proven that they not only have amazing singing and dancing skills, but can also make you laugh and cry with their acting. Here are some K-dramas that K-pop idols have starred in:
When music composer Kang Hang-gyul (Lee Hyun-woo) meets young and talented singer Yoon So-rim (Joy) he chooses to hide his real identity. Hyun-woo can’t get over So-rim’s beautiful voice and slowly falls in love with her. As So-rim’s career starts to blossom, she slowly finds out who Hang-gyul really is.
When two childhood friends get separated because of an ill-fated relationship, their lives don’t go as expected. Shin Joon-young (Kim Woo-bin) is a famous singer and actor who had his entire life planned out for him. Noh Eul (Suzy) is a documentarist that gets assigned to document Joon-young’s life. The two grow fond of each other, but tragic news awaits them.
Lee Ahn (Park Jin-young) lost his parents in a fire. The trauma caused him to have special psychometry powers. He decides to use these powers to help fight crime, he works with Yoon Jae-in (Shin Ye-eun) a girl who tries to hide her painful past. Together with prosecutor Kang Sung-mo (Kim Kwon) and investigator Eun Ji-soo (Kim Dam-son), they solve different cases.
Step inside the special hotel for ghosts and meet its CEO Jang Man-wol (IU). Man-wol was forced to run the hotel for the dead when she committed a huge sin a millennium ago. When she meets Gu Chan-sung’s (Yeo Jin-goo) father, he makes a deal with Man-wol to make his son work for her in exchange for his life and wealth.
Byun Hyuk (Choi Siwon) is a third-generation heir that always causes trouble. When his father kicks him out of their mansion, he starts to live in a studio apartment with Baek Joon (Kang So-ra) and Kwon Jae-hoon ( Gong Myung).
Lee Yoo-chan (Suho) is a rich programmer that is the CEO of an IT company. He suffers from facial recognition disability which means he can’t identify people. He meets Kim Bo-ra (Ha Yeon-soo) a smart college graduate and hires her. The two eventually start to get close despite Yoo-chan’s special condition.
After suffering from years of bullying, Kang Mi-rae (Im Soo-hyang) goes under the knife to change her looks. She becomes the talk of the university but eventually, people start to discover her past. Mi-rae becomes close to her grade school classmate Do Kyung-seok (Cha Eun-woo) and the two start to have feelings for one another.
Lee Yul (D.O.) is a cold-hearted prince. His coldness stems from his strained relationship with his father. While on his way to a rain ritual, Yul is ambushed by unknown men, and he knocks his head on the ground and loses his memory. When he wakes up, he is told by his rescuers that he is Won-deuk, a poor man who’s engaged to Hong Shim (Nam Ji-hyun). the two mostly fight at first but eventually start to see eye to eye. But what happens when Won-deuk slowly starts to remember his past?
