After a big year for global superstar BTS with chart-topping smash hits and sold-out stadium concerts, things are winding down for the band in this last month of the year. The group is currently on an “extended period of rest,” but ARMY — fans of BTS — doesn’t really feel like the members are on break with how active they’ve been on their newly opened Instagram accounts. BTS has been showering their fans with photos every day — and some fans want to take more photos themselves and get their ‘gram vibe going. Why not do it the old school way with a film camera like a BTS-themed Instax?
Fujifilm recently teased that they have an exciting ~butter-y~ collaboration coming up — complete with a very bright yellow teaser. Their latest offering is called the Instax Mini 11 BTS Butter version, a limited edition product featuring the smash hit’s album art. The camera’s compact body is in a light yellow color. The side of the body features the signature “Butter”lettering, while the lens is printed with a colorful, whimsical print that ARMY may recognize from the album art and other merchandise.
“Butter” is BTS’ second English-language song and it has topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts for several consecutive weeks. The band has recently received awards and nominations for the chart-topping song.
The BTS x Instax Butter Mini 11 can be purchased through a limited edition bundle that includes:
Yep, you read it right. The bundle does come with a ~special~ Instax film inspired by “Butter.” You should make sure you’re stocked up on these bright yellow films for all your smooth-like-butter moments.
The limited-edition bundle only costs PHP 5,999. If you already have an Instax, you can just grab a pack of the special film for PHP 450.
Yes! You don’t have to order all the way from Korea, Japan, or the US just to have this pretty Instax. You can order from selected local Fujifilm retailers, like Henry’s Cameras.
The BTS x Instax collaboration officially launches on December 17, but Fujifilm has been accepting pre-orders since its announcement (though they said that the first batch of pre-order stocks have already been sold out”).
This collaboration follows similar projects that Fujifilm has done with their Instax brand. A few years ago, they collaborated with Disney for a Mickey Mouse-themed and a Star Wars-themed Instax Mini 9.

As of the moment, the group is officially on extended vacation (only their second since their debut). Their agency didn’t say how long this break would last, but fans can expect them to return in the first quarter of 2022. They teased a concert in Seoul in March 2022 and an album possibly sometime before that. Get ready, ARMY! 2022 will be busy!
