No one can deny that Korean actress Park Eun-bin was booked and busy during the previous years. She received two drama roles — The King’s Affection and Extraordinary Attorney Woo, both of which she accepted and both of which shot her to further global stardom. Now, she’s making her drama comeback in an all-new role! Here’s what we know so far:

Her new drama

According to Kakao Entertainment, Park Eun-bin has confirmed her appearance in the new drama 무인도의 디바, or when translated literally, Diva of the Deserted Island. This romantic comedy tells the story of an island girl named Seo Mok-ha, who lived alone for 15 years and rejoins society after other people find the island.

The drama is written by Park Hye-ryun and will be directed by Oh Choong-hwan. The two worked together previously on While You Were Sleeping and Filipino fan favorite Start-Up.

Island girl turned singer

Park Eun-bin will play the lead role of Seo Mok-ha, a bright young girl who dreams of becoming a singer. In pursuit of her dream, she heads to Seoul to attend an audition, but on her way, she gets stranded on a deserted island. For 15 years, she fends for herself on that uninhabited island — until she is finally rescued. While nearly everything has become unfamiliar to Mok-ha, she still keeps a positive and cheerful outlook and continues to pursue her dream of becoming a songstress.

It’s only a description, but we’re sure that Park Eun-bin is going to slay her role in this new drama!

Release date

There is no confirmed release date for the drama yet. But according to reports, the drama is scheduled to start filming in the first half of 2023. Fingers crossed we finally see Park Eun-bin on our screens again later this year!
