8 Restaurants You Need to Try in Solenad, Nuvali

4. Bistro Charlemagne

Open everyday from 10am to 10pm
Budget for two – P800

Little Asia, the frequent caterer for visiting international artists, has a new baby that’s interestingly a fusion of European and Asian cuisines. Bistro Charlemagne proved that it’s a great extension of Little Asia’s well-known delights when it catered for the Ariana Grande concert. Look for the sexy and elegant looking restaurant that provides a nice contrast from the strip of bright and cutesy food joints. Enter as soon as you spot it, and sample Bistro Charlemagne’s ironic dishes that are both familiar and unexpected.

3. House of Bawai

Solenad 3, Nuvali, Tagaytay Road Corner Nuvali Boulevard, Santa Rosa Laguna
Open everyday 10am to 10pm
Budget for two – P1000

Complement the refreshing change of scenery with House of Bawai’s equally refreshing fare. From the same genius brains behind Bawai’s Vietnamese Kitchen in Tagaytay and White Plains, Solenad’s Bawai is an elegant spot for light, flavorful and invigorating Vietnamese comfort food. They offer a lot of healthy options like Goi Cuon or fresh spring rolls, Goi Du Du or fresh papaya salad and Pho Bo or noodle soup.

Those who want to pig out need not go to another restaurant. Bawai also has heartier options such as Banh Mi Heo or crispy baguette with glazed pork and Ga Chien or honey soy glazed fried chicken. You can also get your caffeine fix with Bawai’s hot or iced drip coffee with condensed milk.

2. Nonna’s Pasta & Pizzeria

Solenad 3, Nuvali, Tagaytay Road Corner Nuvali Boulevard, Santa Rosa Laguna
Open everyday from 11am to 9pm
Budget for two – P1000

The success of Mama Lou’s Italian Kitchen isn’t only impressive; it also seems to be continuous. Aside from being one of Philippine Tatler’s Best Restaurants of 2014, Mama Lou’s has branched out to several locations and even introduced a new concept recently–Nonna’s Pasta and Pizzeria. It exudes a similar welcoming vibe, but updated with trendy touches in its interiors and food.

Mama Lou’s well-known flavor explosions are now accompanied with handmade pasta and pizza dough, which really makes for a pleasant difference. Nonna’s pizza is chewier and a bit thicker than Mama Lou’s thin-crust pies; it’s also served with hot honey for an interesting flavor punch. As for their pasta, look forward to their wide selection featuring both simple and unique concoctions.

1. The Pig Pen Cafe

Remember the well-deserved craze about The Black Pig in Alabang? Well, that hype is about to move down south with the recent opening of The Pig Pen Café in Solenad. It’s from the same creative hands behind The Black Pig, so you can look forward to innovative executions, mouthwatering combinations and overall, very tasty grub at The Pig Pen.

For breakfast, don’t miss out on The Pig Pen’s waffles with standout proteins like pork belly or Catalan sausage. For lunch or dinner, going for Pig Pen’s sandwich, pasta, board and rice selections would be an awesome decision as well. Just some examples are Chicken Mole Rice, Pulled Pork Canneloni, Muffaletta Sandwich and their Prime Angus Striploin board.
