4. Saab Magalona-Bacarro & Candy Gamos of Cheats
Before Cheats was formed, Saab and Candy are bestfriends who work in a gig production company called Grrrl Scout. Their naturally upbeat disposition in life and love for music are just some of the things that made us love them. We’re also avid fans of their friendship!
3. Clara Benin
While Clara Benin may be primarily known as the daughter of former Side A member Joey Benin, she has established her own name in the scene. With one EP and an album under her belt, she has also headlined her own show several times. She hasn’t released a new album yet, but we’re still excited to see her during gigs.
2. Eunice Jorge of Gracenote
Did you know that Gracenote’s frontwoman is a music teacher? When not playing gigs, Eunice teaches different instruments to kids (yes, she can play not just one!). Her high energy and fun spirit during gigs is one of the most exceptional thing about her, that even non-fans will dance to the beat of their music.
1. Maysh Baay of Moonstar88
Whenever we see Maysh Baay in gigs, we wish we reach that level of cheerfulness. She’s a ball of energy—no matter how huge the crowd or how late the set is, she loves interacting with fans as she sings everyone’s favorite Moonstar88 hits.
But aside from being successful in the scene, she is also an achiever in school. She holds a Master’s degree from the prestigious Bradford University School of Management in England. #Goals!
