The most wonderful time of the year is once again upon us and it brings with it dazzling light displays around Metro Manila
It’s time to whip out your phones and OOTDs and pose underneath the colorful Christmas lights! And because we’re in the Philippines and we’re known to be a little extra for year-end holidays, there’s never a shortage of Christmas displays you can find. Here are just some of it:
Celebrate the merriest season at McKinley Hill where the Venice Grand Canal Mall has a spectacular 40-ft floating Venetian-themed Christmas Tree. The mall is set to have their Holiday Weekend Spectacles, Holiday Toy Towns, and Venetian 3D Mapping Show all throughout November to December. They are also scheduled to have an ultimate Grand Christmas Parade on December 7. Check out their Facebook page for more information.
Perhaps the most awaited Christmas display yearly is Ayala Triangle’s light show. What started in Christmas of 2009 has become a yearly tradition. This year, the already stunning Gallery of Lights has an addition – a 3D mapping show at the dome of Tower One called Carol of Lights. The lights and sounds show happens every night until January 12, 2020 from 6pm to 10pm. Check out their Facebook page for more information.
Ayala Avenue’s streets are also lit up this year with traditional Filipino Christmas décor designed and conceptualized by Zenas Pineda and made with local materials.
Since its debut in 2014 in two Metro Manila venues, Jack Daniel’s holiday tree has moved to a new home in C1 Park, Taguig in 2019. This year, the newly designed Holiday tree is made from repurposed and deconstructed whiskey barrel. The distinctly classic design is tailored specifically for C1 Park, showcasing a formidable but effortlessly beautiful Christmas structure with detailed craftsmanship. It also simultaneously launched Jack Daniel’s Bar No. 7, its first-ever pop-up bar in the Philippines, which features special JD Holiday cocktails including the JD Holiday Highball.
Jack Daniel’s is also set to give a taste of the Holiday spirit in the Northern region as it mounts another Holiday Barrel Tree at Mile Hi Center, Camp John Hay in Baguio City on November 29, Friday until January 5, 2020.
Aside from great restaurant options for dates, there’s another reason to visit Estancia at Capitol Commons. They recently unveiled their Lights at the Park, an installation consisting of 42 lamp posts of varying heights laced with more than 50,000 lights. If you’re wondering why it looks familiar, it’s inspired by the Urban Light installation at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
The Lights at the Park is open until January 5, 2020 and it lights up every day from 6PM to 11PM. It’s time to take those ‘Gram-worthy photos!
