The Scariest K-Dramas You Can Watch This Halloween Season (If You Dare)

Oct 1, 2021   •   Bianca Katipunan

October is here, which means that it’s time to get ready for Halloween. If you’re looking for heart-racing shows to watch, you may want to check out some scary K-dramas. And you don’t have to look too far to find the best horror kdrama to watch right now — you can find quite a few on Netflix. (Warning: These dramas aren’t suitable for the faint-hearted.)

Strangers From Hell

After living in a small town all his life, Yoon Jong-Woo (Im Si-Wan) gets a job opportunity in Seoul. He moves into a cheap small apartment and immediately senses a weird presence among his neighbors. Unfortunately, he is forced to interact with them since they all share one kitchen and bathroom.

The Master’s Sun

Seven years ago, Kong-Sil’s (Kong Hyo-Jin) life was turned upside down when she got involved in an accident. Since then, she started seeing ghosts. Because of this, she’s unable to live a normal life and is forced to do odd jobs. One day, she meets Joong-Won (So Ji-Sub), a rich and cold-hearted man who only cares about money. Kong-Sil soon discovers that when she’s around Joong-Won, the ghosts around her disappear. Because of this, she pleads with Joong-won to allow her to stay by his side. He agrees, but on one condition: she must help him recover a stolen fortune. The Master’s Sun is a horror romcom, so expect kilig moments sandwiched between the ghost sightings and other creepy occurrences: the best of both worlds!

Gu Chan-sung, on the other hand, is a young assistant manager at a multinational corporation. Little does he know that his father signed a deal with Man-wol for him to work at her hotel when he turns 20.
